Customer Case ｜Vertical Roller Mill Roller Sleeves for Cement Industry

A large cement production enterprise in North China operates multiple vertical roller mills for raw material grinding. One of its production lines is equipped with an HRM3400 vertical roller mill, with an hourly output of ≥200 t/h. The raw material composition includes limestone (81%), sandstone (3%), bauxite (13%), and steel slag (4%), presenting a typical high-abrasion working condition.

In May 2019, TSR metal-ceramic composite roller sleeves were installed on the mill and put into operation. The roller sleeves ran stably and continuously until January 2020, maintaining good wear resistance throughout the service period. The wear condition after shutdown demonstrated uniform abrasion and no abnormal spalling, confirming reliable performance under complex material conditions.

To further evaluate long-term performance, a comparative application test was carried out in September 2020. Roller sleeves from a well-known international brand and TSR roller sleeves were installed on two identical mills operating under the same working conditions.

By March 7, 2021, the foreign-brand roller sleeves were forced to shut down due to severe wear and loss of grinding efficiency. In contrast, TSR roller sleeves continued operating normally and remained in service until the end of April 2021, achieving a service life more than 1,000 operating hours longer than the competing product.

This case fully demonstrates the advantages of TSR metal-ceramic composite roller sleeves in terms of:
